Q: Are you a Buyer’s Agent, Seller’s Agent, or both? I am both a seller’s and a buyer’s agent. I also work with investors and I am a CDPE (Distressed Property Expert).

Q: How long have you been a REALTOR – why did you decide to become an Agent on the South Shore?  I obtained my license in 2006 and I have been a full time Realtor since 2009.  I am Southeastern Massachusetts Realtor. I chose this area, as I live in Norton, MA, which is the Southeastern area.

Q: Tell us about why you chose SUCCESS! Real Estate and what about our company works for you.  I chose SUCCESS! Real Estate because I knew I needed a change from the previous company I worked for. I am a Norton resident and wanted to obtain business in my home and surrounding towns and then I noticed that Kathy Portway opened a SUCCESS! Real Estate Office in Norton and I felt it would be the perfect fit for me, as well as wanting to be affiliated with a Professional Honest Broker. What works for me at SUCCESS! Real Estate is the following; Since I have been with SUCCESS! Real Estate for the last 2 years, I have seen honesty, integrity, fun, fairness, professionalism and more importantly, how Success! Real Estate affiliates look out for each other.

Q: Where is your target market area is and what your ideal client looks like?  My target areas the following; Plymouth County; Bristol County; Norfolk County; and Suffolk County My ideal clients are loyal, which is so important to me, as I am very loyal to my clients. My clients always end up becoming very good friends even after the transaction is completed.

Q: What kinds of changes have you seen in your market area over the last several years? How has this effected your business?  The last several years the market has started inch by inch, climbing out of a very depressed market. My business has since then has grown and continues to grow profusely.

Q: Why is your local area so special to you? What about the area are you drawn to?  My local area in business means a lot to me, as I have lived in Norton for the last 25 years. What has drawn me to the Southeastern area is because I live in Norton, the Plymouth County area, because I worked in a law office for 14 years and have always stayed in touch with past legal clients and my family lives in the Plymouth, Kingston, Pembroke and Marshfield area and Norfolk and Suffolk County area is because I grew up in Boston for 30 years where my roots began. All of these towns/counties have their different lifestyles that work for the younger, older, first time buyers, move up and downsizing buyers.

Q: How do you market YOU, your business, and your listings??  When I obtain a new listing, as we all do, I list it on the MLS, BUT, I take it further by providing a virtual tour, creating a separate website for the listing, market it on my business website page, Business Facebook Page, Twitter and LinkedIn. I mail post cards to 100 homes in the area of the listed home. I also design a specific flyer that is emailed to my complete data base.

Q: What does Technology mean to your Real Estate business?  Technology is very vital in my business. I am a huge advocate of social media, Facebook, Twitter, Linkden, Blogging and I have numerous websites etc. When I am on the road I use a Tablet, as I need to have anything and everything at my fingertips for my clients. I also use numerous apps on my cell phone and tablet, I do not have to be in my office to obtain anything I may need to put a deal together or obtain a new client.

Q: What is the best thing that has happened to you during your time as an Agent?  The best thing that has happened to me since I started in the real estate business is; I have been able to spend more time with my family, I have made many new friends and I have been invited to numerous weddings, baby showers, christening’s, birthday parties etc with my clients who are now called my friends.

Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself.  I am married to my wonderful husband, Jack Dempsey and we have two boys, Steven, age 31 and Jack, age 14. My family is the MOST important thing  to me. I have 3 Pugs, Ollie, Rosie and Poe who are also the apples of my eye. My passion in sports is baseball. My boys both play baseball and basketball. All my free time is spent at baseball fields from March until October every weekend and several evenings during the week. Prior to real estate, I graduated at Jamaica Plain High School and then furthered my education at Bunker Hill Community College. I was a bookkeeper for the Flatley Company for five years and then a Paralegal for Carter & Carter in Boston, whereby, I worked on Real Estate, Personal Injury and Divorce. I then worked for a solo attorney in Brockton and specialized in personal injury and divorce.I am also a Massachusetts Notary

The Magic Of Professional Photos | SUCCESS! Real Estate

One of our very own Agents, Jane Lavin, recently signed a new listing. And like all of our professional Agents she gave that listing the full attention it needed…full property information – in detail, full agent contact information, and of course MULTIPLE photographs of her beautiful new listing.  Her photographs were not bad…in fact, they were good.  Shot on a decent day, she included many views of the exterior, and lots of images of the inside of the home.  Anyone browsing online would get a good idea of what the home looked like.
